9:00 AM: Start your day with a visit to Lyttelton harbours town and Port Hills. The town named after Lord Lyttelton, sits on the side of an extinct volcano. Close to the water, it became a great harbour, fishing spot, and meeting place. Enjoy stunning views of the scenic values and learn about the geological formation of Port Hills. Explore the various walking tracks and breathe in the fresh mountain air while learning about the area’s history.

11:00 AM: Next, head to the Riccaton local market, open only on Sundays – a day cherished by every Christchurch people. Immerse yourself in a lively Sunday festival atmosphere with local music, savor authentic local foods, and shop for unique, locally made products to truly experience life as a Christchurch local.

12:30 PM: Take a walk from Cathedral Square and delve into the history of the iconic church, while reflecting on the sorrowful events of the 2011 earthquake that deeply impacted Christchurch then visit Riverside Market for lunch. This vibrant, seven-day indoor market features boutique retail shops, restaurants, cafes, and bars, offering a unique shopping and dining experience.

2:00 PM: Explore the Christchurch Botanic Gardens, the green heart of the Garden City, established over 150 years ago.

2:45 PM: Explore the beauty of Christchurch with these fun options: Enjoy a 30-minute punt ride on the Avon River, glide through the picturesque Botanic Gardens and central city or try kayak instead for more adventure or hop on an electric shuttle to discover the Botanic Gardens at your own pace.

3:15 PM: Savor afternoon tea with biscuits and hot tea. Take a final moment to enjoy the beautiful gardens before we drop you off at your hotel.
