Today, you have the freedom to explore the capital at your own pace, with recommendations from tour guide. Wellington’s city center is super walkable, allowing you to easily discover all the activities on foot. For some attractions outside the city, regular shuttles are available to transport you. Enjoy your day of exploration and be sure to share your discoveries with us. Around 4 pm, join the tour leader for a delightful foodie tour in Wellington, renowned for its exceptional beer, coffee, and culinary offerings. Then enjoy a welcome dinner. This is a perfect opportunity to connect, share experience and set the stage for an exciting journey together.

Embark on a scenic 4-hour drive to Napier, with a brief stop in Palmerston North to marvel at the impressive wind turbine. Continue your journey to Napier, often referred to as the “City of Art Deco,” and admire its unique architectural charm.
While in Napier, visit one of the most prominent wineries in Hawke’s Bay – the Church Road Winery. Enjoy the distinctive design of the winery and partake in a wine tasting experience. Sample wines directly from the cellars and gain technical insights into the meticulous craft behind Church Road wines.
Conclude your day with an overnight stay at Napier Port.

Travel from Taupo to Rotorua to visit Te Puia, located in the Te Whakarewarewa Geothermal Valley, where you’ll encounter hot springs, mud pools, and geysers. Follow a local expert as they guide you through the landscape, highlighting the largest geyser in the North Island, Pohutu.
Next, visit the Kiwi House Bird Enclosure to learn about New Zealand’s iconic kiwi birds and conservation efforts to protect them. You’ll have the chance to observe these unique birds in a darkened enclosure. Take a short walk to the Ahua Gallery, where you can see Maori carving and weaving demonstrations. Then, immerse yourself in Māori culture by enjoying a Haka performance, followed by a delicious Hāngī buffet lunch to conclude the experience
In the afternoon, visit Agrodome Sheep Farm. Get ready for entertainment and education with the legendary Farm Show! You will enjoy amazing facts and plenty of laughs as you’re introduced to 19 breeds of sheep. Watching farm dogs demonstrate their incredible ability to respond to commands and skilfully herd sheep and ducks. Overnight in Rotorua.

Next on the itinerary is a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set. Explore the movie set accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, discovering the newly built Hobbit hole (completed in December 2023). Conclude the tour with a refreshing drink at the mythical Green Dragon Inn, soaking in the enchanting atmosphere before embarking on your drive to Auckland, marking the end of your memorable journey.

Important Notes
We aim to achieve zero waste in our tour packages. In New Zealand, tap water is safe to drink, so we’ll provide you with a bottle of water on the first day and additional bottles if needed. That would be helpful for the environment if you reuse the initial bottle and refill it throughout the trip. However, if you can’t drink tap water and require extra bottles, we’re always happy to provide.
Please note that our price is listed based on the twin share. If you would like a single supplement, kindly let us know.
Flights to and from the start/end of your trip are not included in the tour price.
